I realized I haven’t written in a minute, so here goes!

Soooo, Monday was cool. I basically did the same things, I think (can’t completely remember 0_O). But, I met with Terrell, and we just kinda talked about where I want to be in life, and all that fun stuff.

So that got me thinking about what I really want to do. I’ve known that I want to be on camera (an anchor or reporter). I think I prefer reporter, because they have more fun, but after a couple of years of that, I’ll probably be worn out anyway lol. But yeah, I knew I wanted to be on camera, but I also really enjoy the behind-the-scenes aspect of production. So, I’m not completely sure which direction I want to go, at the moment.

I think I’ll just try for both, and whichever I get the best offer for, I’ll go with. But, I know that a lot of people look forward to seeing me on television and stuff, but I don’t know. We’ll see. As long as I’m working in the industry somehow, I’ll be happy.

So that was Monday. Tuesday, I had a Devil Wears Prada-esque experience lol. We had a guest on the show who requested specific food and beverages. So, I got to go out and pick it up for him. While I’m standing at the cashier, I get an email and a phone call frantically telling me to double the order, lol. Too much. So that was kinda funny.  Later, on Tuesday, in a meeting (as my facebook friends already know), I pitched a story and the producers liked it!! Although, they only used it for an LSS (long story short–which is a segment that turns news stories into shorter stories and compiles a few of them), they still used it! I felt a bit of accomplishment there. 🙂

Yesterday was Fourth of July ( or as I say, J4), and I had the day off, woohoo! I slept til noon (the time I’d be getting off work, lol) and then went upstate with some family and friends. Cookout + the pool = an awesome J4!

Now, it’s back to work. I’ve already prepared the morning news packet for one of the anchors, and now I’m just waiting for the show to start. I think I’ll watch it from the Control Room today. I haven’t been since the first day, because I’ve been busy during the show.

I love my job! This internship has given me an even bigger motivation to just be done with school. I can’t wait to really get into the industry and do what I love for a living! The other day, I actually started researching jobs, lol. I guess you never can be too early.

On a totally unrelated note, I miss my friends and my family, my church, and my kitty cat!! And I also can’t wait to dye my hair lol.

Ok, thanks for reading! Love.

In the pool– Me on the far right

  1. Good for you Court. Whatever you want to do, like you said, as long as you’re in the industry I’m sure you will be happy. And had the 4th off too?? Can’t get much better than that!
